Rene Tammist assumed the office of Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology

Today, Rene Tammist, the newly appointed Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology, assumed office by taking the oath of office in the Riigikogu.

"I wish strength and endurance to Rene Tammist and hope for his quick acclimatisation to the new office, as the government must jointly implement several important decisions in the next six months," said Prime Minister Jüri Ratas.

Today, on the prime minister's proposal, Tammist was assigned to office by President Kersti Kaljulaid, who also released from office Urve Palo, the former Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology.

Prior to becoming the minister, Tammist was the Head of The Estonian Renewable Energy Association from 2011 and a Member of the Board of the European Union's Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators from 2012.
