Transport Development Plan 2006‑2013 and the Public Transport Development Programme 2006‑2010

The primary aims of the Transport Development Plan 2006‑2013 and the Public Transport Development Programme 2006‑2010 attached thereto is to make planning more systematic, to create a comprehensive picture, to identify actual causes and thus to ensure sustainable development of the transport sector.

Rather than setting long-term objectives (for 10 to 30 years), this document foresees that objectives are set for the development of different modes of transport, creates a horizontal framework and establishes the Transport Committee to facilitate the involvement of all experts in the field in preparing a long-term vision for Estonia.
