Full integration with the EU market enabled the Estonian economy fast growth and high returns on investments.

The mission statement of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia is to create favourable and attractiveconditions for businesses and provide them with the most competitive economic environment in the region.

National Programmes in Support of Entrepreneurship

To promote entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications has developed national business support system.

All enterprises engaged in business activities in Estonia may apply for state support for the creation of infrastructure necessary for their operations, training of personnel, participation in fairs etc. However, product and technology development and co-operation between businesses, research institutions and universities are considered priority areas in considering the provision of support under this scheme.

Foreign investors are given information and assistance with partner search and communication with sate and local government agencies. The Government’s aim is to ensure that investment projects can get underway with minimum investment, both in terms of time and finance.

In order to increase the competitiveness of Estonian enterprises in foreign markets, additional guarantees are available for managing export risks.
