Trade and internal market

This recession has increased the competitiveness of Estonian firms in the world markets as labor productivity grew rapidly while the growth of real wages have been modest. Estonian exports grew 22 percent in 2010 and 25 percent in 2011. This is a result of the rapid increase of high-value added exports by our manufacturing sector which has been also the main job creator. Indeed, the export growth has been the main driver of our economic recovery.  In some key sectors, such as IT, Estonia the supply of skilled labor does not meet the demand in spite of the high level of unemployement.
